I mentioned an internal job posting I was interested in, but it got filled or something because I can't find it. There were a couple others in that area with the same or similar titles, but the job requirements were far less tailored to my skill set and interests. BUT there is a different opening that I might apply for.

I finished watching the original Battlestar Galactica this weekend. My favorite bit is when they ran into other civilizations and made references to centons and the people from other civilizations said, "What is a centon?!"

As always: data inconclusive. Now I need to find a way to present this stuff so they see that, okay, there's some interesting stuff but there really isn't anything that's solid enough to take action over, but all my major questions are answered and we have something to start a discussion.

RESOLVED: to get a second red pen

I was going to do grading this afternoon, but I couldn't find the bloody red pen. This happens every once in a while. It might be gone. I thought I left it out last night when I left off grading. Apparently, I didn't [unless that bastard roommate took if off my pile of grading, that bastard!]. So, uh, this is major. I'm at a bit of a loss, I can't think of another place it could possibly be.

So, I spent the afternoon playing sudoku. Now I'm writing this!
