Print Story Stupid pointless spambots
Diary
By priestess (Thu Nov 01, 2007 at 02:19:30 AM EST) spam, robots, spambots, ubuntu, gutsy gibbon, compiz, productivity (all tags)
My wiki's always had lots of spam. Mostly links to porn and viagra sites. You block what you can, revert the rest, and curse the wankers who write those bots for financial gain.

Lately though, I've been getting edits from bots that just put a single nonsense word a the top of the page. Words like "rellachizela" or "getsit" or "olodaracelt" with no link and no other text. I mean. I can't even see what the point of that is. Why on earth would you do that? Even the robots have gone insane.

Ubuntu is pretty nifty. See inside for some random comments on linux finally being for the desktop. I will certainly annoy and/or infuriate at least one person with this entry.

Print Story ubuntuforums < pizza delivery boys

man, i remember when ubuntuforums were a hot bed of useful information. you'd ask a question, you'd get an answer, and it'd be a good one, by god. and if it wasn't, you'd tell 'em so and you'd get a better one.

now you wait a few hours, you don't get anything useful, and you don't even get your god damn money back. they're worse than pizza delivery boys.

it's another happy tea fueled off the cuff diary!

Within: knitting turns a city into a town, the first rule of sys admining, MILfless workout, used cars, scraping, and confusing the jets and needles.

Poll: Favorite clothing material?
