argh so close
i tied the course record for this one steep hill on Strava after a while of trying. it's a pretty short one, like, 42ft of elevation gain in less than a block and the record is like 17s. the other day I went up in like 19 and realized I had a shot if I got a running start. the thing is, because it's so short, it's not immediately clear what the beginning or end of the segment is, and this also means the granularity of the record keeping is not so good. it's also kind of directly perpendicular to a main road so you can't get much of a straight running start unless there's no traffic. anyway, drat, I only tied it rather than getting king of the mountain here.

I was petrified. My legs are sore after yesterday's run. It feels like normal fatigue except for the lower part of my left calf - that feels a bit sore in a different way. I should've iced it last night but didn't get around to it. It shouldn't be a problem.
Somebody guilted me into doing a charity 5K run on the 4th. Should be fun. I'll shoot for 25 minutes. I'm still fairly out-of-shape.
