The Internet is full of videos to download and watch for free. Internet TV programs are becoming very popular, but most are closed source and only available for Windows. Enter Miro which is open sourced, available for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux, and can use RSS feeds to download videos from popular free video channels so you can watch them later. It also uses BitTorrent and other popular download methods.

From the brilliant post on the OpenLaszlo project blog (man, that is a well-written blog entry! Wonder if there was a ghost writer involved?)

We are extremely pleased and proud to announce that OpenLaszlo 4.0 is now available. This is the first official release of the new multi-runtime edition of OpenLaszlo, complete with a native browser DHTML (”ajax”) runtime, a heavily revamped Flash (7, 8, 9) runtime, and much more. With OpenLaszlo 4.0, you can compile source LZX applications for any supported target with a single mouse click.

Secrets

While I'm a fan of Open Source, $OurBigApp is closed source. Despite six years with the company and making a pretty strong case to a buddy who has access the source code, I was denied my request (read: repeated begging) to see a little bit of it to help a customer.
