Ten years to me is a long time. It’s ten years if you discount the three months that I worked at the worst job of my life. These days it’s just a milestone. Now I mostly deal with project portfolio finance. Even now every time my manager calls me I’m convinced it’s my termination call. Every year for the last few there has been an October layoff. We’ll see how it goes this year, but since March the company has restricted external hires and focused on redeploying existing staff.
one daughter graduated college this year. She’s had behavioral health issues and hasn’t found a future path. Reminds me a bit of myself at a younger age. Youngest started college and is in a dorm in Boston taking remote classes.
Thats about it. If you are on Mastodon and Twitter you get my political ramblings and I don’t feel a need to repeat them anymore.
