Print Story ... and back to the hospital we go...

I had my 2-week review with the surgeon today. Honestly expected him to give me a clean bill of health...

Instead, I ended up with a surgeon, a PA, a doctor and a resident all taking turns staring at my back and making "I'm thinking serious thoughts" noises.

They've decided the incision is infected and they need to (a) cut me open to take some samples then drain and clean the incision, (b) stitch it up again and then (c) make me stay in the hospital for 2-3 days while they see what grows in the samples.

Yesterday I threatened to escape to Starbucks but the nurses told me it was closed on weekends due to COVID...

That was my main fear when I had my back surgery so many years ago.

Best of luck man. They'll get it sorted.
