Is Rupert Murdoch weighing in on how large companies have unfair tax advantages  through access to Downing Street a monumental act of hypocrisy?

Is he complaining because he doesn't have the same level of access anymore?

Is bigger and more influential than News Corp/Fox/Sky and has better tax lawyers. Google seems to be less malign (definitely less openly partisan)  but has it's own political agenda. Whole thing sounds like sour grapes

Has a decades long reputation for paying little to no tax.

I think Murdoch is pissed because Google is really the information gateway instead of Sky or News International.

Murdoch has long had a beef with Google by Herring (2.00 / 0) #3 Thu Jan 28, 2016 at 05:33:35 PM EST
IIRC, he even blocked Google from indexing his UK news sites. Very, very briefly.

But yeah, it is kind of amusing him complaining about the Google tax thing.
