I'm probably about 1/3 of the way through the second of Patrick Rothfuss's Kingkiller Chronicle, "The Wise Man's Fear".  These books are very gripping.  Thematically, there are a lot of parallels with Harry Potter, but I wouldn't say that they are really like Harry Potter.  I can't put my finger on why, exactly.  I particularly like how, in this universe, some attempt is made to come up with a logical semi-scientific framework for how magic works.

"Friend Zone: Level Kvothe" should become a thing.

I watched Rush Sunday night, and it was better than I had any reason to expect a Hollywood movie about F1 to be.  If you're a racing fan, you should watch it.  If you're a fan of biting sarcasm delivered with an Austrian accent, you should watch it.
