NYC Get-Together, 10/2/2014

Hi!

I'm going to be in NYC the week of the 29th on business, and aphrael and I are planning a dinner because science says internet strangers should meet over comestibles. And we always do what science tells us.

Location and precise timing TBD - I'll be in Times Square, more or less, and only available evenings, but transit is a thing which NYC has available.

I have this every-3rd (or is it 5th?)-year review thing coming up, and the package is due Friday. And of course I've been resolutely Not Thinking About It, because it gives me the heebie jeebies.

However, several of my colleagues are in the same boat, and one of them pointed out recently that upgrading our machines makes LaTeX default to A4 paper, and sure enough, mine was doing that too. So I got that fixed. Next up: figure out how to merge multiple pdf files into one, which seems to be what they want (and either two or eight copies of everything on paper... how quaint).
