Naming conventions

The current UK Chief Justice had a perfect name for the role - Igor Judge (known as Lord Judge)

..he'll now be replaced by the less fortunately named John Thomas.

Those not familiar with English literature or slang may not realise that this name became slang for male genitalia as a result of the novel Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence, published in 1927/8

ever implemented in software. this is what really killed kuro5hin. as your userbase shrinks, it becomes harder and harder to get anything to post, so authors are driven off and users depart for lack of content. meanwhile, the most important thing in building and maintaining blog readership is frequent and regular posting of new stuff.

it's a system that kills itself at the first sign of a downturn.

Five years ago the company I was at hired a contractor named John Thomas. One of the guys I worked with was originally from England. We enjoyed it greatly.
