Anyway, so we had some gaming night this weekend and we had pizza from that place. The Hawaiian pizza was one of the pizzas ordered with the substitution of "bacon bacon" for "Canadian bacon". A bunch of people played Mare Nostrum while I had a bunch of people who were sort of new to gaming and such, so we played Carcassonne. They enjoyed themselves and I enjoyed myself. I won the third game by a ludicrous margin, but the first two were pretty close. I think I got second place in both of them, but don't quite recall the specifics. I do remember that, in the first, I was dealt really crappy tiles.
This weekend's slow chess game was utter crap. I missed a cute little combination on the 11th move so, instead of being a 2hr game it was over in 45 minutes. I got greedy in the opening (took a free pawn) and spent the rest of the (short) game dealing with the consequences of having my pieces in bad places.
I played over a bunch of master games this weekend. Both watching on the computer movie-style and running over annotated games in a book. I also finished out level 30 in CT Art 3.0. On to level 40! I'm starting to see things again. The big hump to get over, though, is the poor thinking process.
Am very glad that the snow is melting. I hate snow.
I think it's about time for me to leave. Cheerio.
