But not today.

Saturday was a long day.  I got up around 7:30, and got ready for the farmers market.  Got there at about 9:30ish.  They were hopping.  I picked up a green pepper, some red potatoes, a small watermelon, a tasty organic gluten free sweet, hot Italian sausage and a dozen eggs.  I have a crush on the gal at that table.  She didn't wait on me tis week, as she was off buying fruit at one of the other tables.  The lady who did wait on me, handed me two dollars as change, which confused me as my bill was 7 something, and I had given her a $20.  I rectified that quite quickly.  Wish I could some day in my life be able to chat with someone and then eventually ask them out, like normal people do.

The organic sweets table is usually staffed by two women, but this week it was one with what I assume is her boyfriend.  They're both really friendly and personable.  I spend the most time at that table every week chatting.  Last week's treat was as dry as a bone and crumbly.  This week I went with a non chocolate treat and was not disappointed.  At $4 though, not something I'd buy a lot of in one day.

The outfitter downtown was renting Segways for tourist use.  I saw one guy on one, and of course he was crossing in the middle of the street.

Road just over 20 miles on Saturday.  I could have gone more, but I didn't want risk a flare up, plus it was getting late in the day.  I did the 20 miles in 119 minutes.  Used all my water, but did not go with a full load.  Another reason to have turned around when I did.

When I got to the park, I was interrupted by a woman who wanted to use my cell phone because she had locked her keys in the car and her cell had no signal.  So she used mine.  Oddly enough she made the call, talked for a few minutes, gave me the phone back and continued walking into the main part of the park with her backpack.

When I came back 2 hours later her car was gone.  It strikes me as odd, not because she left before her 'help' came with what I assume was a spare key, but that she continued on her hike knowing she didn't have cell service.  I mean if I was called to bring a spare key, I'd not want to wait around for who knows how long while my friend was off on some hiking adventure with no cell coverage.  I guess in this case one could just leave a key near the car in a hidden place.  Just seems odd.

Erased any good the biking did by buying a case of Woodchuck at the distributor.  They had Dark and Dry, so what the hell. I had 8, with pizza.  Of course with a case in the house I'll be tempted to drink them.  I shall skip doing that this weekend because I should have a date.  The weekend after that is Labor Day, so I'll partake then.

Yes, I asked a gal out on Okcupid, and she was busy.  She then asked if I'd like to get together this coming weekend.  So that's something to look forward to.

Did some python hacking this weekend as well.  That was actually quite satisfying.

So yeah.  Summer is almost over and done.  Thoughts on that?

I generally like living where there are four seasons. But once it gets above the high seventies, I'm done with summer for the year.

Kindness is an act of rebellion.
