Am about 100 pages into Fellowship of the Ring. It's as awesome as BEING AN AMERICAN. I remember when I first read The Hobbit. I was in first grade, my dad was like, "You're looking for something to read? Here, read this." It took me quite some time. I read LOTR in second grade. I also read a lot of American folk tale stuff, like Paul Bunyan (though he is now thought to be "fakelore", not that there's anything wrong with that), Pecos Bill (ditto), that kind of crap, then some Robin Hood (Pyle). And Greek or Roman myths. I wondered for quite some time what the book on Robin Hood or the book on Greek myths was, and how it must be hidden off in the mysterious adult section of the library. The answer, of course, is more complex than that.
Crap, I am probably so easy to troll about this Star Wars stuff right now. I mean, I'm not a Star Wars geek, I'd probably get last place in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit against any of you. I just have, for whatever reason, so much hatred and pain about it.
That's about enough for today.
