Reading more Consider the Lobster. The porn article is saddening.
Left arm, shoulder ache a little. It interfered with sleep, actually. Clean and jerk 229# yesterday, cleaned 239# with no intention of jerking. Snatched 165# a few times. I think the gym does not have AC. This might mean considering going somewhere else for two months or something. There's a place in the neighborhood that has a lot of terrible reviews because they opened before they had a lot of their equipment (bathrooms, water fountains, and lockers as well) and because the owner is apparently a douche, but I hear they have strength stuff and most of the people were complaining about the whole "cardio" situation, which I don't care at all about. If they do, in fact, have basic amenities and AC, I might consider it or something for those two months. Or not. And, of course, there's always Crossfit!!!!! I'd have to consider what I would do if it turned out to be a viable place to train. It's a lot easier to get to and might be nicer. But they likely don't have the same quality of people around, and that's something important that cannot be bought. And the reviews indicate the owners are douches whether or not they currently have equipment.
Wife was out yesterday watching Ran. Awesome movie. I missed her. I fell asleep. It was hot out. We should get that air conditioner in, but the landlord wants to put it in instead of having us do it, so we have to call him. Once the AC is in, though, I think we're mostly committed to running it most nights, as there's only one window in the bedroom and it would be hard to get much airflow with that blocked.
Sadly, the awesome attempt by dinosaur comics to bring two people together did not work: http://www.qwantz.com/index.php?comic=1740
An awesome idea: using grilled cheese sandwiches as hamburger buns. OH YEAH. This will go in the bin with "banana bread french toast" as an idea I need to try soon.
Time for lunching.
