Wedding this weekend. Hung out with choir afterwards. Good times and plenty of tacos were had by all. Nearly died laughing at some of the discussion about spousal complaints about sharing the bed. Seriously, it was painful and I couldn't breathe.
If I don't get something back tomorrow, I'll have to bug that trueprotein.com place. Our order got sent back by UPS and they got it late last week. I sent them a note saying that UPS bounced my order back. They haven't responded and I haven't seen anything on the credit card statement yet indicating they've refunded me, but there was a holiday weekend and stuff takes time to show up. I just want my damn stuff. I'm willing to pay to have it shipped again.
We watched The Adventures of Robin Hood last night. Good times. We were thinking of It Happened One Night or The Princess Bride (since we had never seen the latter together), but ran into this one and had to go for it.
We also went for a walk last night: very good. It was cool and just rained, but long enough ago that it wasn't too wet everywhere. Teh Wife is thinking of getting Five Fingers like I have. I should mention that they can start to feel a little sweaty if you wear them for several hours at a stretch and they should be washed every few uses (just throw them in the washer). Soaking in vinegar helps if they develop a smell.
I'm going to a baseball game tonight. Woo. I haven't followed baseball in, like, 15 years. I played, but didn't follow. I might spend a lot of the game discussing the science and practice of strength training because I can't imagine what else I might be able to say anything about with this guy. Certainly not baseball (see above: I do not follow baseball).
FACT: Both Paul Anderson and Louis Cyr, two notorious old time strongmen, had "Bright's Disease", now typically described as chronic nephritis and classified by its actual cause. Is this the secret to their strength? No, it's not, it's just an interesting coincidence.
