My manager wanted something that is, at the end of the day, slightly nonsensical and betrays a misunderstanding about where correlations come from (when a variance and a covariance love each other very much...).
I got the EliteFTS belt in the mail yesterday. It is stiff. I put it on on the last notch. It could have gone in more, but it was too stiff to bend properly, and this after working on it a little. I had trouble taking it off. There's a little overlap in girth between the two belts. But this means if I lose significant weight, I have a belt, and if I maintain, I have my original belt. Good stuff. It also means I have a belt to loan less obese people if anyone ever trains with me (or bigger, in which case I'd take the smaller belt). This will take some serious breaking-in.
Anyway! I am competing tomorrow. I hope I get my membership card in the mail today, because I will need it tomorrow. And I am helping a friend from high school move tonight. Huzzah. Beer and pizza are helpful the night before a competition. But I'm most excited about doing an olympic weightlifting "competition" at the end of June. And beer. I am excited about beer.
I had better get some work done. I'm leaving a little early.
