I was going to title this I ventured into the pink today because that is the color of the 'gain' side of the tracking site I use for my weight.  But I figured that if I said I was in the pink today, ti_dave's head would explode or some shit.

So red it is.

The last day I was in the red was April 5th.  I know exactly why I am back in the red today.  I had pizza, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  And six beers Friday night.  Not huge gains those days but hey they add up.

I made a crock of beans and pork today. That will be my lunch for the week.  1 cup of beans and 3 or so ounces of pork.  In the evening it'll be salad.  I actually like the salads I make for my evening meal.  Weekends are my downfall when it comes to eating, because I'm home with the food.

I try to dampen this by exercising, I went for a bike ride yesterday, 91 minutes, but we all know that exercising just means you need to eat more.  It's the piss poor choices I make after exercising that bite me in the ass.

I do not go to the gym on Mondays or on Thursdays.  Thursday is when I do my laundry and go shopping.  Monday.  Monday just seems like a day to relax, even though I'm just coming off the weekend.  I read a bit tonight.  I could do the gym, but every time I've gone on a Monday they've been really busy.  So I stay home, out of the kitchen, read, and relax.

Wow, where did the evening go?  I am sure I had a bit more to type here, but I guess I got lost in my podcasts for the day.  Have a good one.

It's all pink on the inside. by ammoniacal (2.00 / 0) #1 Mon Apr 12, 2010 at 11:21:13 PM EST
That's what she said.

Just to mention it. by purr (2.00 / 0) #2 Tue Apr 13, 2010 at 09:39:52 AM EST
I am on a low FAT diet to bring down my high Cholesterol  (and to keep from having to be put on another medication like Lipitor). And I have lost 15 pounds without much effort.  Of course a low fat diet for me means, 2% milk, 2% cheese and NO butter. I try to keep my beef and pork intake to once a week or once every other week.  No more Pot Pies (those are the worse.) I eat fish once a week (though I am not crazy about it) and lots of fruit and veggies. Sometimes I go meatless, like beans instead of. Oh yeah, I eat whole wheat or whole grain breads and pasta.  That is 15 pounds in six months (no regular exercise) and I am still losing weight. 15 pounds is more or less a generic number because I don't remember what I truly started at. I just know my scale use to say 165 or more a while back (beofre I changed my diet) and now I see numbers like 146.5 or 147.

Just make a few little changes to your diet (not durastic once like mine) and it will help keep you one track even if you slip up.  I still splurg once in a while but only on special occassions, and there was no way in hell I was giving up my chocolate candy.

beef by dev trash (2.00 / 0) #5 Tue Apr 13, 2010 at 06:14:31 PM EST
I've not had beef in ages.  Pork is usually what I get for the crock.  WHich I mad this week, pork and beans.  My milk is fat free, and I only drink it maybe 3 times a week.

I splurge, but try to plan ahead so my calorie intake is not outrageous.  That reminds me I should get a bar of dark chocolate tomorrow.

What about butter and cheese? by purr (2.00 / 0) #6 Tue Apr 13, 2010 at 09:09:54 PM EST
I have been informed that dairy products are worse case scenarios. Beef is better than butter.  As for calorie intake, I am clueless.  I did hear Dark Chocolate is better for you then milk chocolate. Keep me posted on your results.  I am interested in the outcome.

I have cheese every day.  One or two slices.  80 calories a slice.

I have spreadable butter, maybe 3 servings a week.

every thing in moderation.

Next time when you type the word 'crock' can you capitalize the 'r' and make it bold. The first read through made me snort tea out of my nose and then I had to read the sentence through 3 times ...

Love, me0w
