Announcing MFC XVII.

The 19th FIFA World Cup begins on 11th June in South Africa. Unlike previous world cups, the England team have no official song. Looks like it's up to us to produce one.

That's it really. Those unfamiliar with English football songs might want to look for inspiration at classics such as "Three Lions", "Vindaloo" and "Posh Spice, do you take it up the arse?".

(Note: If you're not English and want to produce a song for your country instead, then I think the rules allow that. In fact anything remotely related to football (soccer) will do.)

Closing date: Friday May 28th. Which is 2 weeks before the tournament starts. So giving time for 2 one week extensions.

Whatever happened to "God Save the Queen (from her whacky descendants)" and "Rule Britannia, Britannia Rules the Pitch"?

Perhaps "What's With The Round Ball"? by notafurry (2.00 / 0) #5 Tue Feb 09, 2010 at 05:30:44 PM EST
I would have said nt but Hulver said I couldn't. So I had to put something in here to explain why I didn't have a nt warning. Except that now means there is no reason for a nt warning because there is, in fact, t. Got an aspiring?

Maybe something could be made of the fact that the briefcase containing the day's nuclear launch codes that's always somewhere near the President is known as "The Football."
