I've been tapering down all week.  The 31st or the 1st will likely be the first no caffeine at all day.

You have been warned.

In other news, I spent much of the day trying to tarp over the leaky areas of my roof in a windstorm.  Anyone know a good roofer?

I quit caffeine every six months or so. by garlic (2.00 / 0) #1 Wed Dec 29, 2010 at 10:47:32 PM EST
I figure it's one of the least harmful drugs to be addicted to, so I don't worry about starting up again.

Good luck with that by lm (2.00 / 0) #2 Wed Dec 29, 2010 at 10:57:31 PM EST
Quitting smoking was easier for me than kicking the coffee habit.

In fact, I still drink coffee but I haven't smoked regularly for 20 years or so.

Kindness is an act of rebellion.

the palpitations, jumpiness and cost of coffee, I can't think of a reason to cut back. I wish you all good luck with your efforts, but as for me, give me coffee or give me my cold dead fingers. That's why God created the Second Amendment, after all.

She has effectively checked out. She's an un-person of her own making. So it falls to me.--ad hoc (in the hole)
