I've been quiet

Bless me father, for I have sinned. It has been several weeks since I posted a diary of any substance.

Had a poor time. Last contract ended in early February and some 150 CVs sent out later still no job.

However had 2 telephone interviews today which have translated into face to face interviews early next week, so one hopes my luck is about to change....

Amazingly one of those interviews is for a Windows company; that is a company selling products involving glass as opposed to software.

Update: Just had another phone call asking if I'd like a job just 10 miles down the road. It seems interviews are like buses.....

Are so focused on the trading floor that I'm basically fucked at the moment. There's not the huge demand in other areas for excel VBA COM SQL Server and a wee bit of C#.

lighting a cigarette will cause the bus to arrive
