The upload site was kindly supplied by adhoc, who despite grumbling about how poorly Apple adheres to standards, provided admirable service.
My idea, which of course serves for nothing but perhaps a match to detonate others' creativity, was that lots of people (well, I for one) had kind of intended to enter a bunch of the Fun Challenges listed in the story I linked to above, but kinda never quite got around to finishing (or starting) something to enter. For example, I wanted to do a riff on Tom Waits' song Edward (in which poor Edward develops a woman's face on the back of his head, which kills him) to do with transexuality and how it's really not hopeless or a death sentence. Very ana-like, eh?
Well, I didn't do that. Still.
Several people did contribute some stuff though. I can turn on authors' names any time; lemme know in the comments what you think about that. I don't know that voting on such disparate things makes any sense at all. But I'll put in a poll. Vote for as many or as few as you like.
Without further ado, here are the "entries". For actual content, you're directed to the upload site linked above.
Oh, wow, cut/paste does amazing things. I guess you can click from here. There's a variety of genres, from spoken word (two entries, if you count the Latin textbook one. Written word (four), a picture and a musical entry.
There's one confessed nano excerpt and one other that's probably that; they're huge, they're new, raw, and not edited, and they're incomplete. Feel free to skim.
If you have trouble downloading the files, try doing it from the download site itself, and if that doesn't work, leave comments here and we'll see what we can do.
Suppose we leave the "voting" period open for a couple weeks, then?
And thanks to everyone to contributed, or who considered contributing.
