Here ya'll go, one grainy blob picture for you.

Hi HuSi!

We got to see baby yesterday. We don't know what we're having, we would prefer it was a surprise. There was a bit of limb waving at the start of the ultrasound, and then baby just hung out and let the ultrasound tech check out all the organs and other body parts that he needed to see. i got to watch the 4 chambers of the heart (sweet) and see my baby's brain (awesome). Everything looks good, but the radiologist and my doc need to review it before giving it the official stamp of approval.

I'm starting to feel a lot of movement, which is both awesome and...weird. I have a little person in there, kicking, punching, and stretching. the measurements at the ultrasound put me at about 19.5 weeks (instead of 18.5), but they'll probably not adjust my due date. either way that's almost half done.

i should have asked for a recording of the heartbeat...it would have been excellent for techno.

tech was careful not to get any shots in which you could tell what the sex is.

Or am I just seeing things?

i believe that may be the case by LilFlightTest (2.00 / 0) #5 Sun Nov 29, 2009 at 11:33:25 AM EST
we have a 3D pic that looks like one hand is in the mouth, the other up the nose. but, baby was waving his/her hands around a bit, so it's possible that it's not actually IN the mouth, just resting there.

if it IS in the mouth, though, we may have a lefty.

Baby!!! by iGrrrl (2.00 / 0) #4 Sun Nov 29, 2009 at 08:24:24 AM EST
I called K Little Tumbler because she moved around so much. The only unsolicited pregnancy advice that really helped was when someone gave me the heads up that after they're born, you might miss feeling them inside. It was odd, but it was true for me.

how sweet. That's a great grainy shot too, very clear. It is so cool when you start to feel them move about and stuff, so much more real. Although, it does get a little freaky when they get even bigger and you can see the hand or foot that's pushing out clearly outlined. Exciting!

most ultrasound pics i've seen needed to be labelled so you could figure out what you were looking at...but these were all amazingly clear.

We've apparently put one into the race ourselves, but it looks like yours is going to win. ;-)

it's not that much fun by LilFlightTest (2.00 / 0) #15 Mon Dec 28, 2009 at 01:33:22 PM EST
but it is an experience. it's awesome to feel all the kicking and wiggling...but the rest of the physical stuff is not that great. I'll keep you posted, i'll probably post belly pics soonish.
