And, of course, giant sacks full of beer and other beverages. And /no roommate/.
Today we had celebrations for $UBERBOSS and $ME for our birthdays (well, proximity to them). Free pizza in addition to the usual cake. Woo. It's also my name's day, the good ol' St Z in GZT is commemorated today, but that wasn't on the corporate calendar. That's my excuse for eating the pizza.
I had a great meeting this morning. Very productive even though we didn't produce anything. I think it'd be way cool to work for the guy we were meeting with, incidentally.
$UBERBOSS mentioned wanting to meet with me later. Erp! But it was an offhand comment, so it's probably light.
I'm looking at data after reflecting on this morning's meeting and things are weird.
So one of the guys in the department, the VP of something or other, he wrote a book and he just brought on his co-author to work with us as well, so I thought I might as well look at the book, see what's up. I read the first couple pages on google and actually thought it was good, it looked like it would be interesting, useful, and helpful, so I went and bought a copy. What the hell am I doing? Who the hell does that? My curiosity got the best of me. I might even end up talking about the book with him. This won't end well.
We have three pieces of the Key to Time so far. Soon!
