By gzt (Fri Sep 05, 2008 at 10:17:16 AM EST) gzt, old, i grow old, trousers rolled, eat a peach (all tags)
I started inviting people over for Sunday evening. I started planning what I'd have. Eggplant "caviar", maybe some stuffed mushrooms, then just some cheese and meats with bread, some dessert stuffs. Something besides popcorn to eat during the movie if we should have a movie. I was going to make some mozzarella balls wrapped in prosciutto, but then I thought that I can get from the grocery store this thing with is essentially mozzarella and prosciutto rolled together, so why not just stick with that? I think I still need more. Oh, and this ham inside a pineapple thing. Might switch diced prosciutto for the ham. I'm on a prosciutto kick.

And, of course, giant sacks full of beer and other beverages. And /no roommate/. Today we had celebrations for $UBERBOSS and $ME for our birthdays (well, proximity to them). Free pizza in addition to the usual cake. Woo. It's also my name's day, the good ol' St Z in GZT is commemorated today, but that wasn't on the corporate calendar. That's my excuse for eating the pizza. I had a great meeting this morning. Very productive even though we didn't produce anything. I think it'd be way cool to work for the guy we were meeting with, incidentally. $UBERBOSS mentioned wanting to meet with me later. Erp! But it was an offhand comment, so it's probably light. I'm looking at data after reflecting on this morning's meeting and things are weird. So one of the guys in the department, the VP of something or other, he wrote a book and he just brought on his co-author to work with us as well, so I thought I might as well look at the book, see what's up. I read the first couple pages on google and actually thought it was good, it looked like it would be interesting, useful, and helpful, so I went and bought a copy. What the hell am I doing? Who the hell does that? My curiosity got the best of me. I might even end up talking about the book with him. This won't end well. We have three pieces of the Key to Time so far. Soon!

I see no greenery. All I see is meat and cheese. Where is the broccoli and cauliflower or celery and carrot sticks?

The three things that make a diamond also make a waffle.

Though I'd dive on a relish tray with ranch if nobody seems up to the task of coming up with a good veggie dip.

stuffed mushrooms can go Oh-So-Wrong, if you pick the wrong kind to stuff. Don't use the generic white bullshit ones.

Also, was this a real book, or one of those "Sam's Fix Your Life in 24 Hours" bullshit tomes?
