I'm about 250 pages in. I can get about 40 pages in on each train ride and maybe 30 at lunch - I get and eat a lunch and then read, I don't try to read while eating - so I'm making quick progress. It actually has a plot now, which is good.

I'm not sure whether I'm really enjoying it or not. All I know is that I'm going through it fairly quickly and it's more interesting and fun than work.

Crap, I spent a lot at WINGS NIGHT. However, I believe everybody had a good time. One of the people there is a graduating senior this year, he spent the last two summers interning at investment banks and had hoped to go into that when he graduates. He is now thinking of marrying a wealthy heiress instead.

I like to think of myself as a smart person who gets stuff done. This job is slowly chipping away at both of those rather valuable qualities. And it doesn't even look that great on a resume. Sigh. What can I do to prevent ruin?

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO DUMP BODIES INTO THE RIVER.

I didn't end up having any bacon: I had something with sausage.

It is now almost time for lunch.

Ooh, I actually have an informative conference call this afternoon about strategies for employee retention and crap in call centers.

See, good decision.

Next good decision: finding a way to sneak out of here early and go home.

the bacon/sausage debacle? There's really no BAD decision to be made there. Unless you skipped either. That would have been a bad decision.

But it sounds like you're working on a good decision right there too. So yeah, you're on a roll now.

Sausage, while good, is a poor substitute by ammoniacal (2.00 / 0) #4 Tue Sep 30, 2008 at 08:00:10 PM EST
