Print Story My flight was canceled

So I had to take an earlier flight.

First time that's ever happened. Good thing I got there early as is habitual.

It was a bit of a deja vu experience. Fifteen years ago, I lived in San Diego and worked in SF for about nine months. I flew up on Tuesday mornings and back on Thursday evenings. I had to go down on business yesterday, and so found myself, after fifteen years, on the exact same flights I'd taken so many times. (Though lots has changed, obviously.) The place I was going was about five miles from my old high school, so even the drive up had that air of familiarity.

Now I find myself back in the office with important things broken, deadlines looming and the people who know how to fix them out of the office. I only had 34 emails to wade through. Sigh...

I'd post about books and/or movies, but the only movie I've seen recently is "Underworld II", which completely bit, and I haven't really read anything I feel worth posting about.

Great job getting there early.  Think of those poor saps who were arriving just in time...

Between SD and SF Southwest runs plans every 1 - 1 1/2 hours, so getting there early can mean hopping an early flight. Oddly enough, I was on pure instinct, and half asleep, and so didn't even try hopping on the earlier flight like I used to until I heard the annoucement.

As soon as I realized that Underworld 1 by Clipper Ship (2.00 / 0) #3 Thu Sep 11, 2008 at 09:53:49 AM EST
was about vampires vs. werewolves I promptly turned the retarded thing off. And I even knew the star in the movie fairly well at one point. Nope, just too utterly stupid to sit through.
