What else? This was a week in which most of my colleagues were away at a conference. Blessed quiet. With two projects of very nearly equal urgency competing for my attention. I hate it when two projects get stuck in the pipe like that, and neither will yield so the other can go first.

Tuesday night, I think it was, we finally moved 3 book cases full of books from the spare bedroom to the dining room. In due course (say, another few months), we'll be pulling up the carpet in there and discarding it. I'm quite sure there's hardwood underneath, though the condition remains to be seen. There seems to be some circuit hardwired in dog brains that says "shag carpet? spare room? what a glorious place to excrete!" If they're sick, it's understandable. If they're just pooping in our space because they don't respect us, that's a problem.

I managed to get my G4 iBook backed up to our external disk drive. There's something odd about the Firewire connection, but it works fine on USB. So now I can clear enough space on my disk to play in, I'm thinkin. Which might, this weekend, include installing Logic Express and starting to work through its tutorial. It's been a while since I've done much music, just for me.

And speaking of music, the bishop is coming to our church to confirm people on Saturday (that'd be tomorrow), and my choir has been drafted to sing for the service. Should be interesting, though we could (always) use a bit more rehearsal time. Having missed the one after Easter, due to the choirmaster being totally exhausted by Holy Week, the Easter Vigil, and Easter itself (nearly all of which was sung by the Other Choir, who are professionals and carried it off wonderfully).
