I don't want to do any work for the rest of today. Correlation?
Fixed database design, worked with coworker to show how we can use the new design to more easily make the reports we want &c, now she's plowing along and has it figured out better than I do. My work here is done.
Crap. I just got notice from a few places that the profile I started on their recruiting site is expiring - that means it's been six months since I first sent out a giant batch of resumes. I haven't bothered to send out any more since August and haven't had any interviews since August - no coincidence there. It's just depressing.
I might skip chess club and instead focus on picking up heavy things off the ground and holding them over my head. I have a giant stack of chess problems to work on and I'll hit that instead for my practice.
BP machine at work said I was at 176/something or other. It must be calibrated poorly or something. Or I'm somehow destroying my heart very rapidly. UPDATE: now the machine says 121/69. That's a little more believable. Either way: cut back on booze just in case.
Netflix Watch Instantly is turning me lazy. I don't have a TV, but I have that. I spent a good part of yesterday afternoon reading stuff with CSI on in the background. Am I turning into my parents? They always have something running.
Dies irae, dies illa...
I shouldn't be greedy. I didn't sleep well last night and I'm on a pretty good pace here, so I don't really need to be greedy. I'll see how it goes.
I have so much angst, I think I'm turning into a teenager or, worse, an emo cadet. Fortunately, it doesn't pop out at all for the general public, almost to the point that I almost act like a sociopath. I've been watching too much Dexter.
Okay: so this person in the cube next to me is on the phone with somebody in an office down the hall. The office down the hall has the call on speakerphone and her door is open, so I'm getting this cool reverb effect. I'm easily amused while trying to get reports done.
