So I went to see "Cud" play tonight. Reformed from ten years ago type band. Imagine my suprise when I walk in and the support "band" seems to be Dr Thrustgood (aged by ten years of Whiskey and Fags) dancing about on his own singing to a backup tape of some sort.

He keeps reading out his URL for us "TOM-TOM-BUCK.COM" or that's what it sounds like. After he says it enough times it's clear he means "Tim" something, but his drunken whisky-slur is as bad as Tom's so I can't remember the rest.

Cud were lots of fun anyway. They played "I've Done It With Blondes" which I reckon is the best song title ever, and also has that line about "7am, July 5th, 1998" which is a good opportunity to shout "Praise Bob" a lot, much to the annoyance of those standing nearby.

Haven't been in a Mosh Pit for years. Hard to find the room to dance in that crowd huh? Ended up waving my arms in the air a lot which may explain the pain in my arms.

Secret Garden Party this weekend. TOO MUCH FUN!

Someone uploaded some pictures of that support act, so I have evidence to support my claim that this is where Dr Thrustgood will be in ten years...

Heya Tom/Tim.

Holy crap - it IS Tom! by gazbo (4.00 / 1) #2 Fri Aug 18, 2006 at 12:16:50 AM EST
But why is he playing such a small keyboard?

And WHY does it start on F?

I recommend always assuming 7th normal form where items in a text column are not allowed to rhyme.

Cud lead singer when I lived in Leeds, he went out with an old school friend. Nice bloke. He had an amazing record collection.

It's political correctness gone mad!

Christ, that is disturbing.

And yet kinda sorta reassuring.
