Red and yellow and blue and green,
Purple and orange and pink,
I can sing a rainbow,
Sing a rainbow,
Sing a rainbow too!

Damned if I can see the leprechaun in that picture.   Did you Photoshop it out?

I captured him before taking this photo by stark (2.00 / 0) #3 Thu Jun 08, 2006 at 01:23:22 AM EST
Hence being able to afford my new lens...

I am once again impressed... by Metatone (4.00 / 1) #5 Thu Jun 08, 2006 at 01:27:29 AM EST
the contrast between the rainbow and the roof makes for a powerful image of the sheer ugliness of Engerlandlandland.

Heck yes. by blixco (4.00 / 1) #7 Thu Jun 08, 2006 at 03:00:09 AM EST
The light on that chimney / antennea farm is perfect: your eye wants the rainbow to be prominent, but the goddamn industrial waste of humanity steps in front.

Here's a rainbow taken by a guy in Nebraska.  He's a much better photog than I can hope to be, but I really dig this pic:

Wow by stark (2.00 / 0) #8 Thu Jun 08, 2006 at 03:48:05 AM EST
That's an amazing photo. Not only beautiful but a good example of various rainbow phenomena. Allegedly you need a wide-angle of less than 19mm to get the entirety of a rainbow in shot...

You can't fuck it.

Raping it, though, seems to be OK.  But only for money.

We had an honest-to-goodness sun dog come through town this week:

fairly rarely, it's not surprising that people used to believe in sun gods and the like.

Lovely pictures.
