Go here to see who got the votes!

Also, comma, thanks for participating. I wrote the "You're not Ed Hulver" story, which got 2 votes. Just in case you were thinking this thing was rigged in favor of editors or organizers of contests.

256 infidel: please to be posting who wrote which story.

Oh, and... I seem to have settled my networking woes, so I can now ssh in to the home machine from the work machine. Thanks, mns, for the interim solution that went on for too many years.

Since I'm the self-appointed Chinese language pedant around here, I thought I would add something.

小人 does in fact mean "person of low position"

But it also means "mean person; villain"

I've heard 小朋友 a lot, but never 小人. Maybe it's a Cantonese thing.

it's a chinese-american thing by persimmon (2.00 / 0) #5 Mon May 15, 2006 at 05:26:04 AM EST
As in third-gen Chinese-American piecing together little bits my mom taught me and bits I know from Japanese class and figuring the overwhelmingly non-Chinese speakers (erm, and readers) on this site won't know the difference.
