Print Story I have consumed
At approximately 9:25 pm PST, Apple's iTunes store sold it's one-billionth song.

It wasn't me. There were prizes for that song, and every 100,000th for a bit before. I tried...I tried. Now I own four "They Might Be Giants" albums that I had not previously even heard.

I wasn't even drunk.

Speaking of being drunk, I got to hang out with mns a couple days ago. Good conversation and good beer was had.

However, I did discover that eating almost nothing during the day and then having four Imperial IPAs in a short period makes for a bit of a woozy feeling. I was mocked greatly upon arriving home.

The addition proceeds apace. The heater is being replaced. (It's amazing how many non-addition jobs have gotten attached to this addition.) We had no heat last night. The indoor temperature got down to the low fifties last night. Fortunately, we're all warm-blooded.

The flooring for the den has arrived, and once it reaches equilibrium, it will be installed, as will the carpet. Then the scramble to move out of the old part of the house for floor refinishing.

I don't think I like tags. I miss the pictures, though I suppose it's nice not having lots of little KY thumbnails showing on the work machine.

I've given up on the job front, so I've also given up on the harder to track name. Whatever.

Currently, I have a highly important deadline. My boss absolutely wants something done by tomorrow. We've all agreed it will take two days. We can't even start until we get stuff from $EvilMonopolist. It has not arrived.

As I have already suggested.

Yes I know - open source blah blah, stop whining and do it yourself you lazy fucker. Maybe I should download the scoop source and try it.

We have a heater, we call it a gas forced by georgeha (2.00 / 0) #3 Thu Feb 23, 2006 at 07:11:48 AM EST
air furnace. But, we turn our thermostat down to 55 at night, even on nights where it's single digits outside.

I know, you grew up in Minnesota, but for those of us shivering in the northeast I had to represent.

It's the air conditioner that's important. Enough blankets will solve "too cold", but when it's too hot, your fucked.

That's what large porches and mint juleps are for. Haven't you ever been to the south?

good news/bad news by ucblockhead (2.00 / 0) #12 Wed Mar 01, 2006 at 06:41:22 AM EST
The good news is that they're letting me use C++ again. The bad news is that I have to deal with COM again.
