And I've come to the part of the story that's a bit more intricate: how to graft it into a version of last year's nano that I haven't actually committed to disk yet; some revisions will be needed, given that I now know who one of the important but shadowy characters actually is.
My arm is sore, from all the typing this weekend.
Muffler needs attention, and not the one I dug out of the closet that's blue and red plaid and wraps around my neck.
Must set up an appointment with a specialist, due to something not quite right with my physical this past week. I wrote 450 words in the waiting room before that, though. I guess I'm not too worried, but also unsure about how worried I should be.
I've arranged a very long holiday weekend, namely Wednesday through Monday, so there'll be plenty of time to get bored with the next phase of my hero's life. That, plus the busy thing, plus too many other hobbies, tended to bog me down this week. We'll see about the ensuing time.
In some ways this is kind of a dry run for whenever I retire. My finances are in order such that whenever the current project is over, I don't actually need another job. Which is really a rather nice position to be in. What to do with my time, and whether I can stay sane and write in a wrist-friendly way for hours each day, are things that remain to be tried.
