Element 7

A MORE more elegant weapon.

Count Dooku's wicked pistol grip lightsaber.

In sixth grade, I used to go to my friend's house and play badminton sometimes. One of the battledores (that's what you call a badminton racket. Now you know!) had a grip like that.

It really made you feel like a gentleman.

I decided on this Element before I found the actual screen capture. If it had happened the other way round, I might well have chosen Count Dooku's eyeball. But what can you do.

Oh man, I just realized that Anakin's arm is missing...I couldn't have chosen a more distracting frame, could I have?

And I suppose the whole thing should be spoiler-tagged.

I didn't realize before that Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader was foreshadowed by this scene, where we find out that he has lava actually in his veins.

The lightsaber blade is so hot that it superheats the flesh to the point of glowing.

But anyway, you're missing the point, which is check out that wicked sweet pistol grip.

What's with the light pattern on his face? His bald head is shining, presumably from the saber, but right below that is a dark line which is obviously from the wicked sweet pistol grip indicating that the light source is farther away. So does the saber cast light or doesn't it?

The lightsaber casts light, but isn't the only light source.

Look at his right forearm by LinDze (4.00 / 1) #8 Wed Jun 08, 2005 at 03:20:48 AM EST
Seems theres a light source below and to the right of the frame. I think the dark line is the shadow of his arm.

but from the way his bald head is shining, I'd expect his whole face to be lit up.

I'm beginning to think this documentary has been altered.

One thing I think they handled well in the prequel trilogy was demonstrating a plausible evolution of hairstyles to the shaggy 70's hair we see in Episode 4. Although Obi-Wan's mustache in Episode 3 is a bit...flippy.

It's funny Lucas should choose that and ignore pretty much everything else.

Interesting theory though, tps.

Staring at the Counts eyeball in that shot for hours on end will in the future be the inspiration for Time Travelling, Swash-Buckling, Ninja Economists to travel back to the year 2001 and create Zombo.com.
