Server hosting is a regular payment of £20 per month.

Note: These figures, especially for incomings do not reflect the true amount actually sent to me. Due to Paypal charges, and varying interest rates the amount I get is often lower than what I'm actually sent. What I record here is the amount after paypal charges etc have been removed.

Oh, so it is a profit motivator? by Orion Blastar (2.00 / 0) #1 Fri Jan 21, 2005 at 04:42:39 PM EST
That 1111.01 server hosting included the hookers and booze, right? ;) After all, there was no new hard drive and server as promised, as Husi ran out of comment room. No need to explain, Enron, Worldcom, and TimeWarner cooked their books too. ;)

Is there a problem with the reliability of the parts or something?

Had the wrong parts? Did they try to cheat you on something? If so, why is it taking them so long to correct the issues?

You ordered it from Blixco's employer.  He got the job to test it, and did so with a bottle of Irish whiskey in his garage.

May I ask you what you'll do with this money? Will it go straight to your pocket or will you re-invest it in the site?

Cheers.
Unless otherwise stated by hulver (4.00 / 3) #11 Mon Jan 24, 2005 at 03:42:12 AM EST
It goes into my pockets.

The fund raiser was to buy equipment, namely a new server.

There is a trip fund, to raise money for me to go to America.

The rest goes to me me ME! It's all mine!

I put money into the site as it's needed, but people have donated enough to cover that now.

It's nice that running HuSi doesn't leave me out of pocket, but I'd do it even if it did as long as I could afford to.

Without a job, one can't hate one's job.  Without hating one's job, there could be no HuSi.

I recommend always assuming 7th normal form where items in a text column are not allowed to rhyme.

Presumably if Hulver did that, and I don't think he oughta, it ought to be paid to people who monetarily contributed.

That is how pro sports team owners in the US claim they are losing money in order to bilk the public out of their tax dollars to subsidize new stadiums:

"My team lost $50 million last year! after you subtract my $100 million salary I can't make money unless I have a brand new stadium!"

How's this work now? You say you're in the red, and then go on to say that prior to this past year, you were more than 2000 pounds in the black. what's up with that?

It's because I suck by hulver (2.00 / 0) #35 Thu Nov 03, 2005 at 11:51:59 PM EST
I cobbled this together quickly, and to avoid the page getting too long, it doesn't show transactions > 1 year old.

But, instead of carrying the amount forward, it puts it in a seperate pot.

It's on my list to change, have a proper "End of year", with lists of profit in previous years. I'll also change it so you can go and look at those previous years as well.

I'll do a quick change now to make it a bit clearer that I haven't lost over a grand.

I just need some way so that people know some of that "profit" was nearly two years ago. It's not like I'm rolling in cash :)

sounds like you want to pick a financial end of year. If you still have all the old numbers, you then list the profit by year for the last few years, and only do the detailed info for the current year.

Yep by hulver (2.00 / 0) #38 Thu Dec 22, 2005 at 12:30:55 PM EST
I've tidyed it up a bit now.

Plus I've made it so you can go back and look at previous years, and the year end date is fixed. It's fixed at the date of the very first cash movement.
