Brian Montopoli at CJR's Campaign Desk has a good post on diversity in the blogosphere. It backs up with actual data my perception that political blogs are dominated by men. I know that my own list of blogs I check every day is probably 90% male.

Poll: affirmative action in blogs?

As discussed on Crooked Timber, Atrios has raised a bunch of money for Kerry. My humble ad here has received a whopping seven click-throughs [sic] and netted the campaign zero clams. I'm not too upset, as I still haven't donated yet.

This Bush screenplay made me laugh.

I have spent my evening backing up my filesystem to a borrowed hard drive, installing Slackware 9.1, and restoring from backup (still ongoing). This time I partitioned the drive, which should make future upgrades less painful. Things are almost back to normal...mail and web servers aren't yet configured, but everything else seems to be working okay.

I suppose this site doesn't count?

I think wonkette sucks and gets way too much attention disproportionate traffic.

I'm not a Wonkette fan. World o' Crap should get more attention, and I thought that before I knew it was written by a woman.

Unless it's yours. In that case, carry on.

I don't care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do.
The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. --W.S. Burroughs
