Are along the "rigorous scholarship" lines, mostly that some of the stuff referenced has other possible explanations that aren't explored or referenced thoroughly. The idea being that while it's fine to propose a new theory of how something came to be, you need to also show how your theory differs from - and preferably, provides a better explanation than - existing theory.
