Well by Bob Abooey (4.00 / 2) #3 Wed Dec 27, 2006 at 11:11:15 AM EST
Just a bit of trickery on my part, you know, in a vainglorious attempt to undermine the masses and set the tone for some hi-jinx-ery and whatnot.

Sadly, I think my blog-graffiti scored higher on the ery scale than it did on either the hi or the jinx, but you can't win them all, eh?

Warmest regards,
--Your best pal Bob

Well I won a pie contest once, but that was long ago.

It's a small world by Bob Abooey (4.00 / 1) #10 Wed Dec 27, 2006 at 01:16:06 PM EST
Because I ate a piece of pie yesterday.

Holy zoom, you don't think, wait, wait, tell me what kind of pie you ate during your contest. If it was pumpkin, well, I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Warmest regards,
--Your best pal Bob

Didn't you think it was odd that a new Chevelle all of a sudden shows up in the driveway the same day they claimed I died??? What, did you really think that mom found the car at the mall?

Frankly, I think they should have held out and at least traded me for a souped up mini-van, but you know how mom is...

Warmest regards,
--Your best pal Bob

Wait... by tuscoops (4.00 / 1) #4 Wed Dec 27, 2006 at 11:42:16 AM EST
So does this mean that there *is* or rather *was* a plan? And what is/was it? I'm so confused.

What? by MisterQueue (4.00 / 1) #6 Wed Dec 27, 2006 at 11:50:01 AM EST
You are coming into my diary looking for answers?

Clearly you are misguided.

The best thing about the new year is new plans, ignored or not.

Goddamn plans.  They're made to be borked.

Borked!

Man I guess.. but if it's borking we're talking.. I'd prefer a different form of borking.

Anyway.. happy whatever youns and youns....

They are lovely by BlueOregon (4.00 / 3) #21 Thu Dec 28, 2006 at 02:45:16 PM EST

Your bones, that is.

Dry as humor (but not the humors, of which only 50% are dry, so I guess you could say my guessing is hot and cold). Humorous indeed.

I often worry about snacks on my plans; I make plans, many quite plain, but it often rains on my parade and they get washed out. Whatever floats your boat.

But I do understand the appeal of not being linearly drawn, today or yesterday, as the case may be. Fleshed out (not in) rather than line art, indeed, though the cyclical alternative, christ on a bike, is a wax-on, wax-off sort of affair I fear, which probably has more to do with painted ladies than either you or I wish to experience or admit.

As for the dead year, I'm glad I write so few checks or balances these days, else I'd spend weeks dating things to January 2006.

this comment is basically golden on a string.

I haven't a jokey thing to say about it, but I am there; I comprehend.

Kind of eerie really.
