It looks like I'll be attending a business conference the last week of this month (and the first day of the next) in San Francisco. I've never been there before, so any suggestions on what to see, where to go, what to eat, etc. would be appreciated. If anyone here is in S.F. and might be available to meet up, let me know.

July is my last month in China...

So I decided to spend it in a place that was a bit more representative of the rest of the country than Beijing. I went back to PingQuan. This was the farming town where Very went during Chinese New Year.

This is the diary of my three weeks there. Three weeks of Chinese hospitality, linguistic isolation, and beautifully cool weather.
