The latest of my SVG applets is functional, but not complete.
(potentially not safe for work, anatomically correct male 3d model in non-lewd pose)

You can draw on the surface of the model with either the point or rectangle tools.

The basic SVG 3d applet is nearly complete. (Safe for work)

Scaling was finished awhile ago, though technically I am resizing, since scaling implies something done in funky 3d math. When you drag, it just adjusts the 4 corners' 3d coordinates. (Which is good, because this is easier to directly translate to size).

When you see a headline like that, it's almost worth buying the local newspaper.

Almost.

Bit of a mixed bag today - let's do some non-directed diarising, including responses to comments that I can't be arsed to find directly!

I've been tinkering with a new SVG applet. Pretty ugly eh?

(Instructions: scroll down to the slider widget, and use it.)

I've updated the 3d rendering SVG applet. Instead of a single ugly triangle, you'll notice a 4x4 grid. Rotation is still borky.

I gave Enterprise every concievable chance. I waited, watching it until the third season. There are some that say it improved right at the end, but even I couldn't stomach it long enough to watch those episodes. And, is it unfair to say maybe the compliments were only possible in contrast to the steaming pile that was the sum of Enterprise up to that point?

The two people most responsible for flushing Star Trek down the toilet are Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. If they had an ounce of sense...

I posted this to a diary on k5 two months ago.

At that point, it was rendering a single XYZ point with correct perspective. I've since updated it.
