a two bedroom in a three-unit building, very modest price, it has a basement, it's 2.2 miles from the stats building and is right on a bus route (that goes directly to the stats building). so that's taken care of. The only downside is that, while it has washer and dryer hookups, it does not have a washer and dryer. I suppose we could buy at least a washer, but that's inconvenient to do either way. We're hoping to move only one more time while we're settled here, hopefully we won't move out of this place, but there's always the chance that things won't work out or we want something else, you know?

So I'll quickly retype. PSU invited me to their information day. "This invitation is extended to applicants with offers or high on our waiting list." I don't have an offer, so I presume I'm high on the waiting list. They're my top choice, so if I get accepted there, I am definitely going.

So I sent in an application to Kaplan because I might want to moonlight for a bit for extra cash money while the wifing unit is underemployed. Apparently they run their "auditions" over webcam, which is not a medium I am familiar with at all. I am much better in person at a real whiteboard. It seems you have a small video of your head and a small textbox to type in. Not ideal.

I played the Saruman et al. and three others played the other three roles. We lost, unfortunately. We got to 11 corruption and were within striking distance of a military victory. We didn't get many of the cruel hunt tiles into play and I think that was our downfall.

So I've got a cover of "Don't Worry Baby" stuck in my head. The wifing unit, apparently, doesn't approve of my falsetto attempts to sing along.

I think we'll do it in May once the tuition reimbursement payment comes through. Though we also have a lot of (airplane) travel that month, so moneys may still be tight.
