Since time immemorial, it has been a strategy of those seeking the advancement of the human race to offer a grand prize in return for feats of stunning achievement. The Orteig Prize sent humanity soaring across the Atlantic; the Ansari X Prize sent non-governmental agencies into space; the Nobel and Millenium prizes await those who excel in fields of intellectual endeavour.

But we're not interested in ephemera and trifles, for today, in the spirit of Sir Robert Abooey's Superbowl Competition of 2005, we throw down the gauntlet to those who fancy themselves as pundits, psychics, chancers or just plain lucky.

Today, we proudly announce:

THE GREAT HUSI FA CUP COMPETITION OF 2006
[Win! Literary prize up for grabs Win!]

Update [2006-2-17 15:43:1 by yicky yacky]: This competition is now closed.
