New job is going well (I think). I like what is going on and that my days/weeks have just flown by since I started. I'm on a hybrid schedule, with starting my day at 10am ET and then logging off around 6:30-7:30pm-ish ET. The one bad thing is that I snack constantly since I am at home, but there are more days than not I forget to eat a proper lunch. There could be worse problems.
I'm going back out to SV the week after next, so I am looking forward to the change and the trip.
LO (and the service puppy) comes home next weekend just before I leave. I asked to fly out that Monday so I could have a day with her and the puppy since I haven't seen her since January. She will be at home this summer, starting her first (unpaid) internship at a local zoological park (and hopefully working some odd jobs the days she is off). I am a bit excited for her as I have strong Mom-intuition that I think her career path might take her to working at a park/exhibit environment. Her initial interview went well with the org and she was called back early the day the internships were announced.
Other than that, LO and I text nearly every other day, but I haven't heard much news.
Changing my job position on LinkedIn was...amusing. Heard from a number of people (which was cool), also ex-bf K (who I cut off from all communications) just had to publicly respond.
I received a notice today from the job I was briefly at that they are terminating their 401K. So I don't know if they are merely going to another plan or are drawing down the company. I'll have to ask my co-worker who was also laid off what is going on.
A convo I had with someone I might have some semblance of feelings for. Someone: I won't be here when you come out, but I'd like to think I helped get you here this time.
