Joining the year end wrap up crowd.

I entered 2013 incredibly stressed out and quite burnt and I'm ending it on the opposite end of the scale.  Between then and now I changed jobs and then changed back.  Lesson learned in there.  That and I continued with my track record of messing up my career path every three years or so.

This year I think I've only read five books.  Currently I'm on book three of Terry Brook's the Word and the Void series.  I really can't remember the other books I've read.

When something important came up it got written here and the lack of much writing here is indicative of the fact that not much important has happened this year.  And then there's the big part of my life that I'm not allowed to write about.  So really I'm living the middle class life.

I expect 2014 to be similar with the exception that I'm not going to change companies by choice this year.

On reading... by belldandi (2.00 / 0) #1 Wed Jan 01, 2014 at 01:22:17 PM EST
I really like Brooks, and that series. I'm in the same situation though, not many pleasure books have been read over the past year, although I have read what feels like a bazillion self-help books.

Non-book Reading by jimgon (2.00 / 0) #2 Wed Jan 01, 2014 at 03:43:24 PM EST
I do a lot of non-book reading, so I'm making up for it.  I'm just not reading things which relax the mind much.  On the high point I do keep buying books with the intention of reading them eventually.
