Had a test today in probability. Did okay, missed the "tricky bit" in two of the problems, got one despite missing the trick, completely failed the other, but I mostly got the rest and others fared worse. I think I found the guy who's going to have the most theory chops. He just had an article published in representation theory, told me what stupid mistake I made on the test. Grades don't really matter, because this class really just becomes a test of what you've already seen before, as a lot of people coming into stat don't have a probability background, but a lot of people do. This year is really to get everybody on the same footing.
Still having super fun happy times here. Plenty of friend opportunity.
All I read these days, outside statistics, is global warming stuff. Occasional politics. Some reddit.
I used 265 KWH of electricity at home last month. Not sure if good or unremarkable. Getting a heated mattress pad so we can cut heating energy expenditure. Just ordered a 1.25gpm shower head.
Drinking tea. It's pretty okay.
I like being me a lot.
