I have a big little boy - 6.5kg at his weigh-in two weeks ago. We are remarkably lucky as he is a champion sleeper and has been sleeping through for about 4 weeks now, with a small exception after his vaccines and the night he punched himself in the eye, drew blood and woke himself up. I still do sleep in 4 hour segments though to pump to build up stock and to prevent myself waking in a pool of sticky milk which has happened when I experiment with not doing that.

Downsides - the unseasonably good weather early this year woke up ants before their food and I have been going nuts trying to keep them out. Everything is tupperwared, surfaces are vinegared daily. The exterminator came out aNd did stuff which stopped them at the window but not at the door. The nest should die out in the next 3-4 Weeks, just in time for him to start creche having ruined a lot of our time together due to the stress of keeping them out.

Going back to work will be interesting. The last 2 days I was there they changed a format for submissions at short notice When I had already prepped my 40 pages worth in the old way. I was told this would be acceptable given the timeline and that they hadn't brought this up when I had queried it the week before as I knew a certain meeting was to take place that would throw up such random bureaucracy. Guess what - my entire submission was dumped except as a one liner for not being in the right format. At this point I don't care if it was incompetency or malice, the jobsworths are going down.
