anonimouse suffers a financial crisis.

I have a sort of system where I reward the miniMice for school achievements financially. Originally it was a fiver here and there. The problem is that Mr MiniMouse seems to have gone into overdrive - he's currently getting 7x/8A assessments on his reports and in tests (he's 12, so he should be getting upper 4-5) in Maths and Science and even getting Star of the Week awards in PE, a subject he should be crap in as he sits at his computer desk most of the time when he's at home. I've had phone calls from his Maths teacher praising him to the skies, and his last science test he scored 98%.

As a result of this, his "pocket money" has got quite substantial; over a term he's now getting over £100/month. Am I a victim of grade inflation, or some cunning financial scheme between him and his school?

Now if only I could get him to do jobs round the house when he was told to....

Re-negotiate the contract ( that is lock him out til he agrees )  after a certain amount, house work also must be done to 'level' up.

It sounds like your plan is working. by dmg (4.00 / 1) #2 Mon Dec 10, 2012 at 03:55:22 AM EST
It's clear that with correct incentivization, heavy regulation is not required. Now if only the banking industry could figure that out.
