Afternoon.

Project proposal deathmarch has completed. The tech authors are just mopping up the bits so there is a bit of a lull in which we can worry less about the paperwork and more about how to actually deliver all the stuff the paperwork says.

I like having a four day working week. I am still not noticeably less productive as a consequence. Only two of us made every deadline in time and quality.

Snow is falling. Stupid wet no good not fluffy snow. Waiting for the real thing.

We upgraded our home coffee infrastructure. It was one of those slippery slope things. First we got annoyed at the stupid grinder we had which had a crescent shaped collector box which trapped coffee, made a mess when being used with an espresso portafilter and was hard to clean. So we decided to splash out and replace it with a Rancilio Rocky. At that point we discovered the nice grind it did unfortunately caused the existing basic espresso machine to work rather harder than it should. Faced with the choice of grinding a less fine grind or upgrading, the nerd household took the obvious choice and purchased a Rancilio Silvia. We now have lovely coffee every day.

Obligatory baby bit. He likes to eat some things now by himself. He does not like constipation. He can sort of commando crawl backwards. He sleeps fine in his own room unless there are teeth. Tooth count is now four. He is still cute.

Yes, it's quite frustrating for them until they figure out how to coordinate arm and leg movement...

For those of you who are cash 'rich' and time poor - the Nespresso system offers an acceptable alternative to all this grinding and faffing stuff, which while fun, can be time consuming and messy.
