Print Story It's 2012. All good things must come to an end...

Well, 2012 is here, and wormwood does not seem to have put in an appearance, but there's still time.

I've been hanging around this site for quite some time, but I fear my interactions with it have been predominantly (but not completely) from a 'trolling' perspective. And this means that people may have a problem taking me seriously, when I am actually being serious. (boy who cried wolf syndrome).

The weird thing is, that unlike slashdot or kuro5hin, the very reason for my 'trollish' behaviour (the apparent groupthink of the majority of participants) seems to be minimal at this site, and now I feel it may be the time for me to drop the act, and be a little more honest about myself.

Hulver's site is not slashdot, and it's not kuro5hin, and I think after over 6 years of contributing it's time I recognised that fact, and started to participate as a genuine persona, rather than as my current caricature "right wing" troll identity.

So just to warn you all, I shall be creating a new account, wiping the slate clean, and contributing to this site in an honest, genuine, heartfelt way, rather than my current somewhat cynical/realist manner.

So it's goodbye (or should that be 'auf wiedersehen') 'dmg' aka "Dumb Marketing Guy" and hello to a whole new world of truthful 'heart on sleeve' 'keeping it real' diarising.

Just FYI it may still be considered "right wing" (whatever that means) but I will be making more of an effort to reflect my real views, rather than taking a trollish stance, just to be a trollish trollerizer.

All I ask is that you vote in the poll, and if you detect my new account, and think 'aha, that's in the style of dmg', that you respect my wishes to 'go straight' and refrain from 'outing' me.

Signing off.

I recommend Langenscheid's.

I wondered about that. by Phage (4.00 / 1) #2 Mon Jan 02, 2012 at 08:24:51 AM EST
