bah, I'm going to have to try to talk to them on the phone
So I'm moving and I was poking around the internet provider site trying to see about switching my internet service as well as maybe upgrading the speed (since we have three people now). No prob, but they tried to get me on a new modem (with rebate, so it's free*). Well, um, okay, but I have a modem because I already have the service, I'd ideally just switch to a new address and maybe go a little faster and use the same modem. Hey, if it turns out that the extra speed requires a new modem, fine, I'll do it, or if the slight change I'm making to the package requires a different modem, sure, whatevs, but it will require talking to somebody on the phone, I guess, to sort this out. I don't want to be forced to get a new modem, even though there is a 100% rebate, if I don't have to. And on the phone I can threaten them with switching to cable to see about getting lower rates.
I'm definitely enjoying Game of Thrones.
I have such busy time.
I just looked at the deals Comcast has floating around. Not very good, actually. Might have to stick with what I have and what I can wrangle by threatening the CSRs on the phone.
And I think I'm going to have to ask if we're 3607 or if we're really 3609 (in the addresses) because the internet tools for these things seem to suggest 3607 is the E apartments and 3609 is the W, and we are W. Gar.
What do you do with people that believe in extremely nonsensical things? Ignore them, mostly, I guess.
I need a nap.
