While I was on the road or at meetings for the last two days, someone altered my office chair.

So I've spent most of the day on and off trying to fix it. It is now the right height but the lever that controls the angle of the back is only reachable when leaning forward and the back requires my weight in it to settle to the ideal place before flipping the lever. Stupid design.

I am currently barely able to keep my eyes open. I can feel my head drifting towards the desk. I slept for 10 hours last night. This is annoying as the weather is beautiful (sunny, fresh breeze) and I would in other circumstances take a nice walk before going home.

Today is Friday. There will be spicy chicken.

Currently re-reading Julian May's Galactic Millieu series, including the prequel. It was amusing to realise that we're now only 3 years off some of the 'far future' ideas. Still no flying cars, but she largely missed the internet (digital books have to be posted and are physical things there).

There's a name I don't see a whole lot. I quite like her writing,  Of course, I haven't read her in a decade.

There is no more degenerate kind of state than that in which the richest are supposed to be the best.
